Can you force remove bushes or flowers?
I'm quite in the early stages of the game, but I am curious: is there any way for me in the future to remove annoying patches of bushes or flowers from a desired area? Basically, if I build a church and then I put a fence around it, can I have a perfectly clean area inside the fence, with just a lawn and no bushes or flowers popping up? Thank you.

Use the remove resource tool.

Also, berry bushes won't spawn except at the edge of a forest.
The little flowers when you knock down trees are really annoying.

I'm not talking about resources. I'm talking about bushes and flowers that pop up over the grass, as part of the landscape.

No we can't remove that as it is now.

Oh, the ferns and poppies and giant egg-boulders or whatever.

You can get rid of them by 'replacing' them with a beautification or splendor cosmetic. (Or by building on them, which doesn't really apply to the church yard example.)

We clearly need a mower passer.

I like the flowers and scrubs in certain areas, so I noticed when they disappeared when I did a couple of things. Once was when I extended an already built fence around a flowery patch. When I confirmed the change, they disappeared instantly. The second time was when I painted sheep pasture on top of them. When I erased the pasture, the flowers didn't come back, just normal grass.

Thank you all. Too bad, I guess. I'll add it as a suggestion to the devs for the future.
Build something on them then delete it quickly. something cheap.

None of that is working for me. So unfortunate, i wouldn't mind these patches, they look good, the problem is that they are all over the place in my village and people can't go through them, meaning that the pathfinding is heavily restricted in so many places. Something the devs should look into i think.

That space is usable. Build on it, the flowers etc will automatically be cleared by the building. Even if you place a wheat field there, the wheat will be planted over the top of the flowers, and the flowers/bushes removed.

The only thing in that screenshot you can't remove is the white stones in the bottom right section, I don't believe there is any way to remove those. Everything else in that screenshot can be removed with the provided tool, or will automatically be removed when you build on it.

Plus, I'm sorry, but this to me is a classic example of how players often don't even try. If you had just attempted to build something on that land you would have discovered it is 100% usable land.
