Moving larger buildings - wholly
Apologies, I have looked through the discussions to see if this has already been discussed, but I cannot find anything.

Is there a way of moving larger buildings such as castles, churches etc as a WHOLE.

I wish to move the location of a church from one side of my village to another BUT, it will only allow me to do it piece by piece.
Bit frustrating as although it is only 3 segments, it is also all of the decorations, fencing etc.

My quickest option seems to be, to build a brand new one and then demolish the existing which feels a little bit wasteful.

Any ideas?

If there is only one sub-building in your monument you can try with the CTRL key.

Edit your building, select a major part of the building to see the move guismo. Double click on the guismo while holding the CTRL key. Or select every parts while holding the CTRL key.

There is a reminder of these keys on the bottom right when editing a building.

Hi,
churches give some passives light fortifications so i put it in the center of a village..
i always made just basic churches ( a big piece+bell tower+door) with a monk inside now.
check if if your population need more service ,you are able to put more pieces inside with more monks inside too..
i never had to move building but if i must to increase one and if i am too lazy ^^ to found the good place , i just make a tower with ..
that is ugly aesthetically but really i don't care ^^

I think I read the ability to move a multi-part monument building as one is coming in a new update (check the recent news). Fingers crossed it won't be take them another 6 months.

You can double-click to select all of a sub-building's connected parts and them move them in 1 go.
