Apart from that, seasonal/weather/daylight changes that happen automatically are just so much more immersive than having to actively decide yourself to switch on the rain, even if they are just cosmetic and inconsequential... as always with these things, why not have a toggle like there is for immigration, for example. A perfect location for the corresponding UI element has already been reserved on the bottom left of the screen, right next to the date counter... ;)
My only request if they get brought back is – allow the player to decide how long a day/seasonal cycle should take. From my subjective experience in games that do have automatic changes, most of the times it feels way too fast, rarely yet occasionally too long, but almost never quite right.
Oh and by the by... "dusk" is actually "dawn", if the assumption of "north is up" holds true. Sun rising in the east and such... I haven't looked recently, but I guess that's still a thing?
I didn't see that.
:edit:
Oh wow so there is. Too bad its not on auto rotation.
So many nice looking things in final 1,0 but according to some folks, so much stuff cut out that shouldn't have been as many liked some of it.
It looks okay at night as long as you've placed enough light posts.
I tend to put the single lamp light posts buried in the walls of buildings so all you see come out of the walls is the top beam with the lamp hanging from it.
