Need seasons
It's only because I read something in the patch notes about environmental features—like dusk, rain, and night—that I asked myself, 'Wait, there's weather in this game?' After searching thoroughly, I found the small weather button in the bottom-left corner. I tried it, and wow—it's amazing! It's a game-changer to experience night, rain, and dusk environments sometimes.

However, why isn't this feature automatic? It's odd to have to change it manually. It would be fantastic to have automatic seasons included—imagine seeing snow in winter, covering roads and rooftops, or watching the environment naturally shift throughout the year.

Also, thank you for improving the 'add sub-building' button—it makes much more sense with the city market now.

Great if it's just visual. I hated the rainy season mechanic they had in EA.

As did I of course as player; who wouldn't hate it when the bad weather events happened, but from a gameplay perspective I think it was the wrong decision to remove them. They added a bit of a challenge that I find I truly miss, now that they are gone.

Apart from that, seasonal/weather/daylight changes that happen automatically are just so much more immersive than having to actively decide yourself to switch on the rain, even if they are just cosmetic and inconsequential... as always with these things, why not have a toggle like there is for immigration, for example. A perfect location for the corresponding UI element has already been reserved on the bottom left of the screen, right next to the date counter... ;)
My only request if they get brought back is – allow the player to decide how long a day/seasonal cycle should take. From my subjective experience in games that do have automatic changes, most of the times it feels way too fast, rarely yet occasionally too long, but almost never quite right.

Oh and by the by... "dusk" is actually "dawn", if the assumption of "north is up" holds true. Sun rising in the east and such... I haven't looked recently, but I guess that's still a thing?
Wait there's a weather feature button?
I didn't see that.

:edit:
Oh wow so there is. Too bad its not on auto rotation.

I really like how the villages look at night when you add the Street Lamps and Braziers
There is another topic somewhere asking to have an option to set the seasons we like and have an option to have the game randomize the weather again like somebody said was in EA version. I don't remember if it had it in ea automated or not but I would love to have it automated to see it get dark once in a while and for those that hate that, let them keep what we have now..

So many nice looking things in final 1,0 but according to some folks, so much stuff cut out that shouldn't have been as many liked some of it.

Yep, still "dusk" sun at the east. I guess it's a work in progress this weather anyway, as currently there's no point to do it ourself manually.

I didn't know this....is it just a button you need to toggle to go through each option? There isn't an automatic mode where it goes through a full day/night cycle?

Correct it's fully manual.

It looks okay at night as long as you've placed enough light posts.

I tend to put the single lamp light posts buried in the walls of buildings so all you see come out of the walls is the top beam with the lamp hanging from it.

For the seasons, we'll have to wait for a game patch, but maybe someone could add the time and an on/off button for the day/night cycles using mods?
