Started the Demo, but how to play?

Can you play a little with the Demo version? If so, how do you start? With regular foundation you pick a territory to begin. With the Demo, this is not an option. I cannot pick a territory. Is this just a demo of the maps?

It works fine and as it always worked for me. I guess you do something wrong or it's a problem with your copy of the demo.
Have you done everything the tutorial told you to do?

Thank you! I was panning with my mouse and it wanted me to pan with the key board. Once I used the keys, the game moved forward.

Yes follow the guide, it opens up the options.

Just started the Demo. Loaded OK. First two Tutorials OK. But Camera Angle using mouse wheel didn't work for me. Found that keyboard 'R' and 'F' do the job OK. But couldn't find a way to tell the tutorial to move on. I'll have another go tomorrow :)

Exactly the same issue... with the middle-click.... we can create fake shortcut in the settings to move on in the tuto... but would expect not to be stuck at the 2nd step of the tuto ;-)

Same i got stuck not being able to use the middle click to tilt camera, fiddled around with settings then got annoyed, will try again later but yeah stuck on tutorial

sad for the game as a lot of people trying this game will uninstall the demo as they are blocked after 2 mins... :'(

One of the worst demos I've ever tried. I made a thread about nothing happening at the beginning of the game and was told off that I needed to read the tutorial, so I started a new game and ... same problem. I accept to receive advice from the villagers, but nothing happens. When I restart the game again, I can now see that I can purchase a land (I didn't have that option before), so I do that, but that's it. I'm supposed to find a Quest Log for a list of my quests, but nah...you failed the demo, good bye. Uninstalled and unwished.

In the bottom left is a box with tasks to do. the 1st one is about how to pan. I too missed these boxes and had to post to the forum how to start. Doing the tasks in the boxes is the tutorial. Once I figured that out, I was able to play the game.

We have put out a patch to resolve the middle-mouse button issue. The onboarding can now also be completed with full keyboard controls
