I was thinking the same, BUT it is always empty. I will rezize it and I will see if it works. Thank YOU!
But then a whole bunch of people want to go drinking at the same time, and they cant all fit inside at once, so the game throws a 'no access' warning
I built 3 taverns all spread out to cover the town, each taverns are only getting at least 12% capacity, 100 berry brews are available in the granary and each taverns are fully stocked. I let time progress, but the villagers that complain just walk by them.
It's rather annoying to see the villagers say "I'm on free time" and don't bother going for a drink. The rest of the city villagers are fine and has been with just 1 fully stocked tavern.
The other thing I notice is although I have a ton of berry juice, they aren't collecting it to sell it. Not sure why.
Note that a tavern works the same way as other monument buildings like the Castle, Manor, Monastery.... even the City Market you unlock eventually will work that way.
Yea the monuments placements were a struggle for me the first 9 times I restarted. On this play run though, I got the brewery, berry brew assigned, service counter and the lounge on all 3 taverns, plus a few knickknacks on them.
Yes, what you serve matters. I haven't experimented with this yet, but i would have thought you'd be able to serve more than one type, you just need multiple counters, one for each type of food/drink you wish to serve. So your tavern could serve each type of drink if you wanted.
Each counter would probably need to be its own sub-building of the overall tavern.
Also: It is of no relevance if you have the drinks in storage, it is relevant if the taverner brings them to his counter, which he will often not do when they are far away and since he is on free time two thirds of the time.
So it is wise to have a granary near the tavern and to have it store the drinks, so the taverner does not have to pick them up from the brewery or the village centre.
Using only berry brew.
I fixed the tavern by first, removing all storage of the berry brew.
Second, putting a ton of brewers.
Third, big tavern, big service.
It seems like the service counter people won't go to storage to get the brew. But they will get it straight from the brewery which is in the same building (attached sub building).
Doing this changed my berry drink use from 5 and week to 100s a week, and stopped most if not all entertainment complaints.
Now I just have to figure out why everyone complains about not enough housing while 50% of my houses sit empty right next to them.
Hi,
Just after a promotion somes houses begin empty..... and
just because the first serfs at the beginning of the game which are too far away from their jobs buit another one more near but after a while...
Also now the new arrivants , even if you gave a job near a "green place" to make his home took the place of the anciens ..
And after a while , they looking for place more near,.etc, etc, etc ^^
For the fun , i have opended a game without using any extension, they run all over the map but all seems quiet ^^
Edit : take the time to check the travel time of the workers and if possible fired the more far away...
It might be related to where they work. They can't drive and they hate to live far from their workplace.
