Prospecting Clarification
My Bailiff sems unable to Progress Mandates for Prospecting.

He's been able to accomplish other mandates (Edict Revision, Trade Upgrades), but is unable to progress any Prospecting Mandate. I see him head to his office and stay there. I've looked at other playthroughs and saw their prospects head over to the site.

Any suggestions to move forward? I thought it just took an insane amount of time, but after counting the ingame days, there has been no auto-accomplishment at 20 days. Nor the Shortened 10 days after an edict buff.

it sounds like he cant actually reach the site in question. Is it on the far side of a river? Blocked off by forbidden area? outside your owned territory?
I have a problem with the tax collectors being able to reach the quarry. I even built one directly "across the street". They do just as you described. I tried countless remedies and ended up deleting the mine altogether. I've yet to try again.

You can rebuild them, you just cant tax them for now because it'll bug out - had the same thing and found a thread on here saying to just rebuild/untax and its worked for me :) i do lose 250 gold all up, but i am drowning in coins so its not a biggy for me; hopefully not a needed bit of income for you though

Hey thanks for your suggestions, I feel like I figured out the cause of this issue

I've built a 'Simple Passageway` as I was setting up the Baillif's Office, this seems to have been what's causing it. I've noticed my guy stop in the middle of this hallway and stay there.

This seems to only bug out his Prospecting ability, and not affect his other mandates.

I'll keep troubleshooting for now and I'll observe if it fixed this behaviour.

As a fix I've replaced this hallway with an upgraded version of the higher tier pieces.

Wonder what it is with building placement that screws up their pathing, shame! Thanks for the advice, really helped!

odd bug indeed, glad you got it figured out. The passageway doesnt actually allow people to pass through, so the upgraded version might not work either but replacing it with another type of room should
