I am running a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Sixteen Core 4.9GHz. RTX 3060 and a 75mhz 1440p monitor.
This what I do. Use nivdia, or similar and set this games FPS to half of the monitor's FPS, which is 37 FPS. When in game I start the Lossless Scaling tool and using frame generation only, I set that to LSFG. 3.0 x2. Resolution scale @ 35. I get a nice 74 FPS. Not sure how well it will hold up in later-game, but I have a 250 pop village and it is going ok.
I have an outdated rig but It can run a lot of games with minimun / medium settings.
Early access run without problems even in late game.
Release version turns into painful mode, frame rate feels ok, 0 crashes by far but a lot of textures, enviroment and buildings missing, replaced by blue squares, sometimes more and sometimes less...
Cpu: AMD FX-8350
GPU: AMD R9 290 3 Gb
RAM: 16 Gb (4 x 4 DDR3)
Location: SSD
Drivers: Last AMD Legacy drivers.
Formatted and fresh install, lowest settings possible.
I have shadows turned off now, and also turned of environmental movement. Hoping that will bring improvement in my current playthrough.
edit: Current game, 277 population, 53 FPS at paused game, but the GPU is running at 100% 3D rendering (but only 3.5 of 8 GB dedicated GPU RAM in use).
iCue says fans at 1900+ RPM, Temps 72, 76, 84°C, Load 95+%, Memory Load 49%, Frame Buffer 28%, Video Engine 0%, Bus Interface 10%.
CPU load 30%, low temps all around.
64 GB of RAM, 8GB of video RAM, and still, this game eats resources. Hoping for some performance fiddling in one of the next patches.
PS: running an RTX 3070Ti
