you messed up and built stalls from the build menu instead of by editing the market
I myself don't quite understand what the different benefits of "Market Hall, Storehouse" and "Market Hall, City Square" are.

Could someone enlighten me?
I had an similar issue and this warning just disappeard after some time. I guess this is just a bug.

The city market has a built in warehouse/granary and built in slots for market stalls. It also has separate transporter jobs to fill that storage instead of the vendors having to leave their stalls to restock. If you get the belfry expansion, you can have one market that both stores and sells everything all built in and the stalls are never empty as long as your production can keep up with demand

I know that. What I am unsure of is what's the reason to use one over the other? (Because the "MH City Square just seems superior on paper.
because the normal market stall the vendor is the one that has to go restock the goods, and it only holds 50 max. This leads to needs getting unfulfilled because the stock ran out and the vendor has to go fetch more, which causes people to become unhappy for a while. With the city market, its the transporter that goes to get the goods, the vendor stays at his post, with a stock of 50 in the stall and 200 per stack in the built in storage to draw from, so your market is virtually never unmanned or out of stock. Now you can make the regular stalls work, but you'll need to built 2 or 3 of each stall to keep things available the same way 1 city market can in a much smaller overall footprint. There's 13 market goods in the game, that means a minimum of 26 open air stalls to still not work as well as one city market with a belfry.

What he is asking, and what I am trying to figure out as well, is that what is the difference between the two City Market building types called City Square and Storehouse?

I am able to place the City Square by itself, but when I try to place the Storehouse, I get a notice that it requires 1 Resource Depot

The Transporter jobs are divided between 2 buildings but its not showing in buidling interface (i.e. it's just a long list of transporter jobs for the same building). If you go in your royal book and in the building tab, you should be able to see a "market hall, store house" without worker, just had worker from here !
