Suddenly very low FPS

Started a new save after the recent big update, first day everything was fine. Got the village up to 65 pop and logged off for the night. Next day I load in, max FPS is suddenly 18. I tried lowering all the settings, reinstalling the game and checked all updates for windows and drivers. Nothing is working, anyone know how to solve this?

try turning off shadows and see what that does, i think the game is dealing with big engine problems

turning off shadows gives me a 1-2 frame increase. are you experiencing the same?

Same thing happened to me, was fine on launch now its a stuttering mess, I'm guessing one of the hotfixes messed something up.

My Problem is that the game runs only on low 69 fps.
Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (24)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

I don't understand your problem: for me, the game runs constantly at less than 40 fps and everything works fine. No stuttering, no flickering, nothing like that.
(In EA I once made a game with 2000 pop., had under 10 (!) fps and the game still ran ok).
=> This is a city builder and not a first person shooter.

Even city skylines 2 runs with my setup at 80fps and its annoying to see no smooth animations. Hope you can understand my point that i have a really good pc and this game is has no heavy graphic to handle, that my system is struggling to get more fps than that.
And how can you say when a game is at 10fps its ran ok? its miserable to play at 10 fps

I have the same issue with frame rate dropping till 10-12 per sec. very annoying to play. Also, i got to week 115, but trading system is weird or perhaps not working right. cities trading with me wont trade items that i need.(woods candles etc.) There r more issues with my ppl in my city cant buys goods resulting in dropped happiness even if i have those available at market.

I swear I played all Saturday night with no issue, installed whatever the patch was Sunday morning and my game has been unplayable ever since.

I am playing on 1080p, with a RTX 4060 and Ryzen 5700X. My GPU is on 100% usage and my CPU is at 16% usage, and I am getting around 30 fps with medium shadows. How do I fix this?

My GPU is only running at 50%, non of the threads on my CPU are running more then 30%. Bizarre.

Disable the recording/clip software in game bar and captures in windows settings, fixed the stuttering!
