Having issues with the fishing hut...

I placed a fishing hut, with one side going to land, and the door side with the ladder going into the water. I assigned someone but then it kept saying that their path was blocked. So I moved it about and still the same issue.
I then deleted it and was going to make another but I noticed that no matter where I try to place it the water side with the ladder still shows that entrance/exit is red.
I have looked it up and I am doing it the correct way but why won't both path points go white so it doesn't bug out. Yes, I place it as far as I can in the water.

Is there a fish deposit nearby that is located within territory that you own? Post a screenshot

Yes and it still shows that path point is red, there rest is all white and clear to place, but if I place it the path blocked message will keep coming up. :(

without a screenshot its hard to help. Assuming you are not installing it backwards, then there has to be something else going on. Is the nearest fish deposit blocked off by a bridge? In a forbidden area? Located in the middle of a river and you dont own the territory on the opposite shore so it doesnt count as yours even though it looks like it should be?

mine also shows red, but it still works. occasionally i get "path blocked" message, but plenty of fish coming in

I own the territory it is being placed on and there are fish on the land I own in the same lake it is being placed on. I don't have any bridges built. I haven't done any forbidden areas yet. the shore and lake/river is my land.
I can place the building to be built and it does get built, but the path will be blocked on the water side for the worker.

I am not getting any fish. I don't know why it won't shows as white no matter where I try to place it.

I did take a screenshot but can't upload images from PC, only ones that have been uploaded to Steam that are public...

In the end I just restarted a new game, sorry about that.

You can see a fishing spot on the left of the image but there are 4-5 shoals on that lake.

all i can think of is that you dont own the resource. Is the fish spot fully within your owned territory?

Yes, 3 of them are.

I think it will only work if the fish icon in the lake is within the territory that you own, if what you show has a fish icon that shows in the boundary of your territory it should work and maybe you've discovered a new bug.

I placed the fishing hut in my game and it never got any fish as I finally noticed that the fish icon was just outside my territory boundary, I ended up having to buy the territory next to mine to ensure my fishermen could access that area around the fish icon.
