How to get tools?

My second play through and I've encountered the same issue.
I followed the tutorial and opened the trade route - planks for tools.
I have two warehouses with slots ready to accept tools.
I have clicked the buy tools in trade but none are coming.

Can't make my own tools without tools!

Any help please?

Can you post a screenshot of your warehouses with tools slots and the resources window where you set buying?

did you set the max number of tools you want to buy? i think the default is set to 0

Ive tried different levels of storage (Max etc)
I've tried different quantities of trade 0 - 15 etc.

I have never had an issue buying tools. only thing that would stop it is you started on an island?
You dont have the little up triangle clicked and set a number like 15 for max import to save your coin early on.
I have never tried leaving it at 0 in fear it will sell the max about and use all my coin up, maybe 0 means like no inventory ?

You have the icon clicked to grab the stock from other warehouses, leave it on the check mark

Check mark is allowing trade, X means no
stock max is the worker will go and get the item to fill the stockpile, and the last one they will empty it.

The Up arrow on warehouse says 'Stock Maximum'.
I have two warehouses. I even tried one with a tickmark. One with the up arrow.

On trade I have the green uptick (Buy until amount reaches this quantity).

Not sure what I'm still doing wrong?

Have you watched a trader come to the warehouse yet? is he buying planks?

Hey! Yup, I followed the tutorial and unlocked the route with planks. Its weird that all my labour influence has gone. I'm still a noob at this game.
In the trade route it wouldn't allow me to click the green trade arrow if I didn't have a trade route unlocked, so I don't know what the issue is. Here's a grab of my unlocked trade:

Ya I realized that after I typed it that the trade icons dont show up unless you unlocked it.
Only thing i can think of is there is a quest that is like ask your neighbors for help to buy tools and you need three to complete it. Is that what the tutorial asked you to do?

I played the tut for like 5 mins and it annoyed me so i restarted right away and turned it off because it was blocking me from playing lol could be the something like that with the tut.

I am out of ideas, I have zero issues buying and selling so i havn't come across this if its actually a bug. I just know why it wouldnt work under normal circumstances and your screen shot seems fine. I know stockpiling an item will prevent its use and sale, im importing wouldnt be affected. so your 2nd screen should be correctly setup

Well thanks for your time and help! I'll ask in discord too. I followed all tutorials including the one requesting tools. Maybe I'll restart and turn off tutorials.

I'm open to help from anywhere to be honest. Im kinda at a log-jam here that's stopping me from enjoying the game, so I'm a bit desperate from answers. :)

Could you please upload your save file to investigate further? You can do so via googleDrive/oneDrive/weTransfer/etc. link here or on discord ( discord.gg/foundation )
