Issues with placing fisher's hut

Hey all. Every time I try to place the Fisher's Hut, my villager always get the path blocked icon. I noticed the little red arrow on the part in the water when trying to place, but for the LIFE of me, I can't get it to work... Any idea what to do? I tried everything and even restarted the game a few times...

Not had a problem with that. Are you definitely putting the huts down the correct way, ladder into the water, the rest on land. Make sure that you don't block the entrance on the land part or your guys can't get to the dock/ladder section.

I was. However the slope was kinda steep but it allowed me to place the building in. No clue what happened there. Just started a new game and no issues.

I also had a path finding issue but I think I just placed the hut too close to the fish area. Demolishing and building a new hut further away fixed it. The arrow at the ladder entrance always seems to be red while in water.

I am having a similar issue, no matter where I place my fishing huts on this one map my villagers cannot use them. The villager will go in the hut and then try to go down the ladder to fish, but when they reach the ladder they teleport back to shore a little ways away. I have moved the hut around several times and the two arrows are always white like they are accessible. I wonder if it is a slope issue, the shore is too steep?
