I guess we should be able to upgrade somehow...
Is there a fix for this, or a way to get the stone keep first?
Select the castle, click the edit button, select the appropriate sub-building from the list on the left, delete the part you no longer want, install the one you do, then hit build
edit: Dont delete the whole thing, just delete the one individual part by clicking on that part while in build mode and then clicking on the little shovel icon
The question is not about sub buildings. The question is, how do you upgrade a Wooden Keep to a Stone Keep?
You can edit the Wooden Keep, and turn it into a sub building.....which destroys it.
I never had that issue with placing/replacing sub-buildings in other building types, like the church monastery etc.
In fact it should be made even simpler than deleting the old Keep and putting down a new one (which currently is impossible as the original post stated):
There should be a "Swap" feature for all building pieces to quickly change them. Click the piece you want to change - click Swap - choose a new piece, and it becomes that piece after being rebuilt. It would probably have to be manually moved if it's a different shape, but it's still easier than deleting and replacing.
Unlock beautification. Place your wood keep. Hit 25 Kingdom Splendor. Delete the keep and build a new one.
I also noticed that you can build the Great Hall as part of the Monastery, but not in context of the Keep. I don't know.
