List of what is breaking the gameplay
After a few hours (and so many crash), I'd like to list what is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in term of game play. It seems everything s back to zero. Like the EA never existed. Feel free to add to the list :
- People can NEVER find a place to live. Even if they are houses not full and place to build more houses. They just complain and then leave.
- 3 farms with 9 farmers can never get enough bread. While I only need the same amount of fruit pickers to get plenty of fruit for everyone.
- 4 stone pickers on a mine are SO SO much slower than the one on the ground, it makes no sense.
- you have to check individual people to find their status and see if they are worth "upgrading", that is slow and unpractical.
- Patrollers are always working in group and don't improve the safety by the number of the unit
- Guards are useless.
- If you "right click" a building, you can't put any other building for a while (bug already there in the demo, seems linux specific)
- When starting a new game, people don't immediately start to work. They can be on free time for two day sometime. Which makes it very frustrating.

I disagree with every point you made.

.I have never had an issue with houses, EVER
.Farms are fine, learn the mechanics.
.I have a mine with 2 stone workers. stone is coming out my arse with three stone cutters using the stone. Not sure what your complaining about here
-UM, use the book as your tool for this, you dont have to click a person at all
-Patrollers "Patrol Guards" do tend to move around together sure, but 4 of them as serfs can handle like 8 upgraded houses or more. so at least a pop of 64
-Guards are just fine and do what they are meant for , just use them correctly.

The only thing I agree on is ya there seems to be many crashes happening.

For people to build houses, they need to have workplaces close enough. Make new jobs close to where you want to people settle.

I have four farms and 200+ people. More bread than I need.
I desagree on some points too :

- People can NEVER find a place to live. Even if they are houses not full and place to build more houses. They just complain and then leave.

: Housing system is fine to me, let the game running a little, settlers move themself to the closest free place of their working place at some point.


- 3 farms with 9 farmers can never get enough bread. While I only need the same amount of fruit pickers to get plenty of fruit for everyone.

: Indeed, the amount of wheat should be a little higher than actually but it's not useless, the bread is one of the refined food


- 4 stone pickers on a mine are SO SO much slower than the one on the ground, it makes no sense.

: It make sense as the rocks on the ground are more likely to be close to house of miners, also the "ground rock & iron" are finite resource in "hard" mode, and lore-accurate, probably easier to collect

: It don't bother me but yeah, it could be a pratical tool to upgrade to the optimal rank directly in building menu

: Yeah and no, the more patroller patrol together, the more effective and large it become,
If you want multiple patrol group, for now you need to build multiple guard post


- Guards are useless.

: Guards are made to go to guard towers

Everything is close to one another. Some houses are empty, some people are leaving because they can't find a place to live. And they are serf, so any house nearby is fine.
I have 3 farms, and less that 150 people. There is never enough bread. Even with the cheese, the meat, the fruits and the fish present.

Yeah, cause there is NO way I encounter any bug on this first version. Not like I'd played a hundred hour on this game and got all the achievements in EA. Right ?

So apparently, you are all terrible persons. And you will never see me again in there. I should never have waited to play a "released on prod on a Friday" game anyway. My dev ass should have know better.
The game is so unbalanced and buggy. A pity I've bought it years ago. But you won't see money coming from me.
