Tools not importing

OK I have the trade route set up, exporting planks and set to import tools. I have set my warehouse to stock tools. The task box states the warehouse set to tools as accomplished but shows set import of tools not done. I let the game run for quite a while and zero tools are importing. What up?

Selling/buying is how many you want to keep in stock. So for selling , you would set a number in the trade tab of the item you want to sell , like Planks with 50 and then click the arrow right next to it. That would sell any extra stock you have above 50 and of course whatever limit they have on how much they buy would be sold to them.

Same with buying , so the number you set is how many you want to keep stocked. So if its set to 20 it will buy whatever amount you need to reach 20. So if you have 12 , it will only buy 8. If you have zero , it will buy 20. They of course have a limit as well on how many you can buy at once.

I've got planks set to sell above 30 which they do. I have tools to buy to reach 30, the tools are not importing and like I said the task box still says the "set" import tools has not been completed.

just a stupid question... did you set a warehouse slot up for tools?
because that was the reason i couldnt import stuff

The warehouse has to be staffed too

This has happened to me recently, the trade route was working fine (selling planks and buying tools) then one day the trader got stuck outside the warehouse and never moved again
