Do berries patches disappear?
I've heard that if I clear all the trees in an area with berries, the patches might disappear. Is that true? Should I never deforest near berries? Or, basically, what are the mechanics behind the berries that I should know about, so I don't suddenly run out of food? Thank you.

if you build a forester and assign them locations to regrow forests, any cluster of trees is also likely to spawn a berry bush. so keep your Gathering Hut for Berries and Forester near each other, you can have infinite berry bushes so long as you paint an appropriate area for the workers to reach & develop the land as desired

You don't need very many trees to spawn berry bushes. Like 3+ or more in close enough proximity really.

the berry bush wont disappear until you pick them, but they automatically respawn near the edge of forest areas, I think they will respawn in areas that you grow your own trees also, I have not run out and I see new ones appear near forests all the time, I think when one runs out a new one will spawn, that being said if you cut all the trees in your area and then pick all the berries you could run out, so I usually leave the forest there unless I plan on using the space for building

Cool. Thank you guys.
as stated above, berry bushes keep respawning along the edges of forests.
they will also spawn around areas planted by your foresters, it just takes some time for them to apear.

so you can kindof control where you want berries to be spawing by setting according ereas for trees to be planted.

what worked best for me so far is a rather big area for the forester and then set up buildings like a woodcutter, storage, sawmill etc. all right inside that zone.
just space them out generously.
the roads to all the buildings seem to count as forest edges aswell, letting berries spawn all over the erea for easy picking.
