Eat more meat!
Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be no balance in food choices? I have 200 surplus fish, and zero berries. I have 200 surplus meat, and commoners that complain about not having access to two refined foods, and zero bread.

It has nothing to do with markets and access, I've just noticed that populations tend to eat one food to nothing while letting the other stockpile to the detriment of the populations that require food variety.

This is really shocking. Devs bloated the game with production chains etc, but have not managed to balance such simple things as food consumption... after many years of EA!

I have tons of fish and lack of berries just because pops consume them in 1:10 ratio.

Another example - the absolutely unbalanced bread production chain.

Simple balance when?
Surplus meat is easy to have, you get 5 meat per boar, and the amount of boars collected is really high compared to what it used to be. I think I had like 50 boar within just a few minutes. I think it got buffed because it used to be boar was really low in the amounts collected.

For me berries has always been weird, you have a big surplus for a while then suddenly you cannot keep up. I think this is due to having the extra optional needs, like church. Then of course if your church is not big enough and you build a second one you workers can travel to the farther one because it has space. Then berries like disappear once you start making alcohol.

The other thing would be how your market stalls are built. Used to be something like if you put too many food stalls in the same group they ignored the other stalls. Why I started making multiple stall groups in the same area and not putting more than two foods in the same group.
