Congrats on ruining a good game
what is the purpose of releasing a good game in EA and then completely gutting it for everything that was great to release a completely different game on full release. Not happy at all

As someone who only first played the recent demo and then bought the game and have less than the 2 hour refund period, can you be more descriptive of the changes they made that you don't like and what they can do to fix it, in your personal opinion?

I dont agree with your opinion.

The core mechanics are still there and even better.

The graphics is just personal taste.

I dont get the hustle here.

Ah here you are again :D Do you want to complain about the textures of your "favourite game" again?

your replies have zero value. Can you go staring into the wall in your low cost apartment, it will be more productive

Again. Not polite or constructive. Just a rant by a hilarious person.

basically they changed how things work.
1. expanding a trade route - you needed to import and export x amount of resources which would send a envoy to your town asking you to complete a task such as provide 200 bread. Now you need a bailiff to expand the trade route which sucks because i keep running into money issues before unlocking him.
2. they removed all of the mods and it appears mod support as well.
3. when you buy a new ploy of land, you would need to use a couple of lumber camps to chop down all the trees which would give you a clear plot of land. Now it seems like you need an unreal number of loggers to cut the trees down
4. planting trees - you used to have a choice of which type of tree to plant, now you dont (this is a purely cosmetic gripe)
5. the user interface has been completely changed. they reordered the screens and removed the privileges tab to create a full screen privileges tab with everything on one page (i do like the new layout for this one, but it took me forever to figure out where they moved it to)
6. the biggest annoyance for me and this is something that can be fixed - when you build a building, it auto closed the window before you can assign workers. The building window auto closed when you are opening a different building window randomly.

there is alot more as well. but long story short, this version of the game looks and feels completely different then the version i was playing the last time i played the game which was right around christmas time. its like i was playing simcity and then i went to play cities skyline.

Was/Is this not the game beta testers were (supposedly) hammering on outside of the early access version the rest of us were playing?

When I stopped playing the EA version, it was because I was awaiting a true castle which was (I thought) to be added to the game.

I don't recall having any issues with game mechanics in the EA at that time... but only just getting started, it just isn't 'familiar' to me.. which of course makes me slightly irritated because what seemed good and stable now, well, isn't.... IMO of course. .

I mean shoot... I just had it block me somehow, some way from putting down the town centre in a new village. No rhyme or reason I could see... it just wouldn't let me build it. All the UI worked, buttons clicked, but selecting the town center icon did nothing. Couldn't drag anything anywhere.

Ah well...

well it was supposed to be, lol. they changed so much that it was like playing simcity, upgrading to the full release and its all of a sudden city skylines. both are fine games, but thats way too much change from the last EA to full release

I'm not really seeing any very good criticisms other than performance, bugs and crashes which, don't get me wrong, is a very bad problem to have going into a version 1.0 release out of a very long early access period. I haven't experienced any crashes, but the performance on my machine compared to other similar games as far as resource requirements has not been very good. I can still play with the settings a bit more, but I'm really counting on a good hotfix to get the game's performance back to what it was in the demo at the very least. Still debating as I almost feel like Manor Lords has everything this game has and does about everything better, but that could be since I have such a small sample size of playtime in this game. I think I'll wait for the 2 weeks to see how much it has improved before deciding. I'm open to a healthy debate on the matter.

I get what you mean, it does kinda suck, but it kinda makes sense why they changed it, you do need someone who can negotiate the trade routes, they should add a setting for this when you start the game, add it to all the settings that they added with full release.

The creators said in another discussion that they were going to be adding mods support back in it just was not ready for full release yet, even so if they had left in mod support it would have probably been broken, and most of the mods would not have worked anyways with how much they changed the game, they probably want to get most of the bugs out before release, which in my opinion is a good thing, if you started using mods and they update the game to fix bugs it could break mods, and sometimes mod creators don't keep up with that, I have some mods a cities skylines that I loved but cant use anymore because they don't work with the current state of the game, and I doubt they ever will now because its been forever.

Can you explain further, I have not had this problem at all, I have only built 2 logging camps, and I can clear out the trees just fine, you probably know this already but if the logging camp fills up or if its closer to were you replant trees then you will have a problem.

I miss that also, I used to use those trees as decorations around my town, even tho it did not count as decorations.

yes, I wish the upgrade screen was still a part of the book, it looks nicer then before but it should have just been a tab inside the book.

Do you mean you cant have more then one window open at a time now, I am kinda confused by this, I used to keep a bunch of windows open before so when they were finished I would remember to add employees, but with the new overlay and the fact I have not played that much after the release I have not noticed anything as of yet.

Yeah early access it seemed to have better performance then it does now, I have random frame drops and lag sometimes when its auto saving, I think its because of all the new animations, plus I think they upgraded the shadows, they might have also added in higher res textures, I remember that even with high population 1000+ I would get around 40-80 fps, yeah thats a big gap, but 40 fps on a game like this for me is not all that bad, but I never had random frame drops, now I get 40-50 so its generally more consistent but then I get random frame drops as low as 10-15 sometimes, it might have something to do with the auto saving, I also read in another discussion that there is a saving problem, where the game crashes and all their saves are gone.

EDIT:
I will point out that my graphics card is AMD and like 5-6 years old now which is another reason why I dont get really high fps, its a RX 6700XT.
