Removing an addon to a building?

So I am trying to build one of those new Warehouse Depots, I wanted it right next to my warehouse, but when I put it down right next to it, the villagers are now all complaining that they can't access the warehouse or get to the new depot. Only 1 arrow (the direction points when you place the building) is blocked for both the warehouse and the depor, yet the villagers can't access it?

Is there anyway to remove the depot component without having to delete the WHOLE warehouse? That's a lot of resources to lose.

If you go to the "edit" mode for the building, you can click on the part you want to remove and only delete it.

to remove a part of the building, go in build mode, select the part you want to remove and then use the spade symbol :)

Yes. The spade looking symbol hovering above the part. I think it's suppose to be a shovel.

I cannot delete Warehouse Depot. I need to remove the hole Warehouse.

To select the depot part that you want to remove, click on one of the wooden poles of the Warehouse Depot to get the shovel symbol displayed.

What all above said.
Click on the building and go into edit/build mode (hammer symbol)
mark your warehouse extension and either just move it a bit to clear its entrances or delete it with the shovel symbol.
