Tax collector not working?
I've got to the point in the tutorial where we're supposed to create a Tax Office. I've created the tax office and assigned two tax collectors to it. They both show as "working," but they don't seem to be collecting any taxes.

Anybody else encounter this problem?

Go to the tax page in your Book. There is a slider tool you need to more to the right, in order to initiate how much tax to take from the villagers, and from other structures. Some taxes need you to also place a check mark in the box, to start the tax on those structures. Try that, and come back and tell us if that helped.

I've also encountered a Taxation issue: i've just built a manor part for Tax office and its ticked off the box for me, but it doesnt show as 'working' because i need to have 'light fortifications' present, which requires me to unlock something from the progression tree.

No Taxation tab in the Royal Book even though i have someone working there.
Watched a YT vid prior to starting my game and when they got to the taxation part, they didnt have any issues with needing fortifications :/

Edit: 'fixed' it - seems i needed to finish my manor tower to provide the fortification >_>

One way to fix it is to have the dev's make a True Sandbox mode. Let us go wild.
Same issue, i have build the tax office with tower, set a taxation amount in the book and have a tax collector working but all the houses show they have zero coins and even tho the building is finished it doesnt get ticked of in the mission tab.

Depending on the size of your village, you will likely have to build several tax offices strewn around your village and assign collectors locally so that the tax collectors actually collect. Also, if your tax collectors are serfs, they are much less productive. When you upgrade them, they should collect more and/or have a wider circle of activity. If your manor is placed away from the settlement, then your tax collector will find nothing to collect.

The tax amount listed is an "up to" value that would be collected at maximum efficiency, I think.

You need a defence structure near your tax office for the taxation tab to appear. I built a barracks and the tab became visible.
