DEMO : demolish part of a bulding
In the EA you could demolish part of a building (like, just the door for example), I can't find a way to do it in the demo. Also, we still can't add/remove adjacent building to change the function of the building after it's construction ?

Enter edit mode by pressing the hammer icon and click on any built or unbuilt part, you will see a white shovel icon above them to delete them.

No you cannot move building parts between subbuildings atm, you will have to destroy them and rebuild them in the other one if you want to do that.

IDK if I understood you correctly, but imo you can do this. Just click on "add new building", chose a new funciton and then add a building part to the preexisting buildung. Everytime you are "opening" a new building category, you can choose it later an change the function. What you cant do is, if you put down 15 building parts into the function of great hall, selecting single parts of those 15 and change their function.

Deleting unfortunately just changed. Now you have to click on a symbol above the hologram - which I at first misunderstood as "build this now" button. Unfortunatly right click is not working anymore...

Ho yeah, I've stop using that button. It kept destroying everything. Which is weird cause if I were to build something, I'd start with the foundation and use the shovel.

Any idea how you can know in advance with building part offers light protection ? It seems like height is not a factor. More like "if it's round, it protect, all the other shapes are BS".

If you place it and dont build it yet, you can easily delete it by clicking on it and pressing on the round shovel symbol ABOVE the building. This way you can just try and error your protection area. IF a building provides light protection, height DOES matter. The higher the tower, the bigger the radius.

Buildings that provide light and heavy fortification have a wall icon on the bottom right side iirc. wooden wall for light and stone wall for heavy

Those are the requirements. No such icons on individual building.
sorry my mistake, the icons I was referring to are not yet available in the demo, but will come with the final release :)

It appears to me that towers provide fortification, including the bell tower on the church.
Yes many of the towers, all fortification walls (not the small village walls), and watchtowers to be specific
