Upgrading Bridges?
Any way to upgrade a bridge from wood to stone or do you need to build a new one? Can you build over the existing one and then delete the old or will that screw up pathing?

I believe you need to demolish it and build a new one unfortunately. However in their recent post (link below) the devs mentioned they wanted to add a 'replace mode' to the UI and they specifically call out upgrading fortification walls from light to heavy - I imagine this will likely also include bridges, fences, etc.

If you wanna place a bridge in the exact same place, build the new one top of the older, then demolish it after the new one is finished.

Ah, interesting. That was my experience, too.

I was wondering about the "recycle" or "turn" icon that pops up with the make-square-angles and make-rounded-angles and plus sign on existing fences and walls if you activate their edit mode. Not sure what that does...will have to experiment. Any thoughts, anyone?

I do the same with walls because it takes too long to rebuild them and lose the fortification.

It is also best to build walls in separate sections rather than one long continuous line because any adjustment later to one wall section edits the entire thing. So like if you expand and want to remove a wall section or add a gate you end up having to rebuild your entire wall.

Some walls are graphically different on each side. That icon flips the wall around. Like the city fence, it has built in torches on side of the wall. Or the heavy castle wall has a walkway on one side. You can flip the wall so your torches or walkway are on the side you prefer.

Yeah, I discovered it very recently. Very useful tip.

Hey, thanks. I was wondering! Now my torches can go on the outside. XD
