Pathfinding and blocking
Settlers often find themselves "blocked", but there are obvious paths.

So... here's a little bit of advice:

Have no blocking. Period.

Let villages walk through anything if they're "blocked". If they decide to walk through someone's home, they just don't create a worn path.

I never worry about placement in Against the Storm. I can jam housing and industry together and not worry about workers having to be blocked.

i'M OF THE IMPRESSION THAT AS LONG AS THE ARROWS ON A BUILDING ARE nOT RED THEN THAT BUILDING SHOULD NOT PRODUCE A BLOCKAGE (UNLIKE MY COLON AT THE MOMENT LOL) so, I have a rock gatherer and all arrows are white but yet it constantly produces a path finding block and is really starting to play the fiddle with my nerves.

Supposedly the dev is going to be looking into path finding and if he can't find a solution then I'm all for letting them walk through objects if they're going to produce a block notice.

For my way of playing zoomed out I would never notice workers walking through the side of a building since it shouldn't be all that often anyway. And make it a game toggle if it can't be fixed properly so as not to ruin an otherwise nice game who's damn popup notes about blocked paths are really starting to grind my gears, as a toggle others can leave it off for those who are not bothered by a sometimes barrage of pathing notes showing up

It's really quite simple to avoid. Make sure all the entry triangles on your buildings are white when you place the building. I see so many posts for pathing yet I never have issues with it, and I'm by no means an expert.

Have a look at the stones they are gathering from - could be that that is creating the issue. Moving the building to another stone resource solves it.

I had a forager trying to reach a berry bush that was inside a cliff and got notifications for that all the time. After moving the building a bit farther away, the notifications stopped

There are a few things that cause "Path Blocked" errors: Berry bushes/Trees inside houses (which you may need to use the Resource removal tool on), Foresters planting trees on 'White Arrows', and a few other less minor things like assigning a worker to a building under construction.
