Is there a forester upgrade?
Is there a forester upgrade that I'm not finding? I'm finding my lumberjacks cutting down trees quicker that my single man forester can plant them (growth is turned on to high when I started this game) so I built another forester but it looks like drawing out his planting zone won't allow me to overlap the first forester huts zone.

adjust the first huts painted area so the forester could keep up and plant everywhere at the painted area, cover the now free area with a 2nd forester (and a 3rd ... and so on)

For every new forester you need mark its individual reforestation zone so it isnt enough just build additional forester.
Set reforestation zone from 1st forester smaller and set part of old reforestation zone for 2nd forester. Really 2 foresters with must be enough even for fully development lumberjack hut (with 15 lumberjacks)

Yeha I was wondering about forester coverage in my last game. I saw a lot of bare meadow in that game. Seems there is a limit to how much they can cover (distance always been a thing) and the speed they cover it now.
Faster tree growth (or slower in the case of challenge difficulty) doesnt affect how many foresters/woodcutters you need that much. It mostly affects the area you need for your forest. The faster the trees grow the fewer trees (and therefore less area) you need to generate the same amount of wood.

Let me get this straight, if I have fast growth turned on, they will not plant as many trees but the trees they do plant will grow faster? That seems an odd choice of function
Well, the total amount of trees planted and felled is the same. But the faster tree growth leads to shorter waiting time until it can chop it down, which frees the space for replanting. So instead of (numbers are fictional) 20 trees being planted and chopped once you only need 10 trees that get through the cycle twice. Therefore you need a smaller forest to get the same amount of planting and felling actions.
Smaller forest -> less walking -> some efficiency increase, which is always nice, but its probably not a leap in production.

Ah, OK that makes sense, thanks

could be cool to have an actual forester upgrade at the same time we buy the lumberjack one a full scale lumber have to much people cutting trees for a single forester and having to redraw planting zone for adding a new forester is a pain
