Minimum Residential Paint Size
Hey everyone! This may be public knowledge at this point, but I was messing around with the housing paintbrush and trying to figure out the minimum size requirement for housing to be built. If you select the paintbrush and start at the smallest zoning size possible - use your mousewheel and scroll up 11 times. This is the easiest and most consistent way to get housing to build while using the minimum amount of space. Note: This is true for both squares and circle zones.

The reality is the minimum zone requirement is somewhere between the 10th and 11th scroll up - so if you're painting a zone somewhere with less space than the 11th scroll, but more than the 10th, you may be able to get an additional house to spawn.

SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OPTIMIZING SPACE: Surely 3 individual squares of the minimum size requirement, and one large rectangular square the length of 3 squares and the width of one square will both create 3 homes right? NO! Per my last picture you can see that while 3 individual squares spawned 3 houses, the rectangular square of equal size only spawned 2!

The default size (round and square) is the smallest single dot, and happens to be 11 clicks up.

6 clicks up square is the most narrow if you want long houses.

7 clicks up square is the most efficient, I think. It needs only be like 2.2 long of those to create a house.
