Has anyone else noticed that the paths villagers take are remarkably inefficient?

I'm not talking about the path blocked issue, I'm talking about the lengths they will seem to go to in order to avoid walking a straight line. I am literally seeing villagers walk around three sides of a building rather than walking across in front of it.

No, there is nothing blocking the shorter path; I checked. Also, there _is_ a path in front of the building, but villagers seem to prefer to take the longer way. It's a little frustrating given that villagers seem to have issues with distances over 150m.

Yes, I've noticed. Pathfinding is on the roadmap of upcoming tweaks and fixes.

Well... this is "grid be gone" game. It is not trivial to calculate shortest distance if no grid.
