patrollers
they all patrol in groups but the patrol effect dont stack. so a group of 5 patrollers is just as as effective as a single patroller. this makes it so my patrol coverage is ♥♥♥♥.

Worst of all, Patrolzones are not linked to a specific watchtower (like farms or foresters), but mapwide.
So if you have multiple small villages, each with their own watchtower, patrollers from one side of the map will wander all over the place to the other side of the map instead of staying in their " own area" .

In the meantime, make multiple 1-person watchposts near the perimeter of residential areas.
starting to think that throwing 1.0 out here was a rushed mistake.
damn seriously ??

How many watchtowers do you have? And what's the size of the patrol areas?

Unfortunately, releasing alpha-level games is the norm. Have you seen the trainwreck that is Civ7!? I don't get it; like, are these studios on the verge of bankruptcy or something that makes them feel the need to rush things out?

Best would be if they made patrols work like foresters, with a designated zone, that would fix the problem.

i mean, i can on some level understand pushing a game to release to start getting back on the investment. but an EA game dont have that much to gain from rushing a release.

This is not my experience at all. I have watched a group of 6 move together then split into 3x2 to for a half round b4 returning home. I have also seen the 6 instantly fill the new house need for patrol vs two needed multiple passes

Experiencing the same issue, they appear to be patrolling at the same time if they are assigned in groups at once (at least I think that is how it is working). This is effectively causing entire areas of my town to be without a patrol because they don't split up and get exhausted before going back to their base. I have also input multiple watchtowers which did not seem to correct the issue.

I tested and AFAIK even assigning patrollers in different occasions, they will group themselves after the first round.

I just create multiple patrol bases around my town so the coverage is more regular

Appreciate you checking, I just figured that since they were weirdly grouped that had to be it but I guess that is not the case

same here, kind a annoying of this patrol system.

No wonder having 60+ patroller and still having difficult time maintaining 400+ population in a densely populated area. They all stack on each other but they only tick the patrol requirements once.
