The game isn't designed to treat external trade partners as a primary source of income, its designed to treat your villagers as the primary source of income.
Once I sorted that out I was able to make tons of cash and get everyone though some rough spots easily.
At the beginning , you must always bought the tools still you found a iron ore..and create the chain production .. it may could take a long time before.
So you must sell the polished stone to don't loose too much cash..
After , you may could need more swords to create a different little armies to get more money ands goods , tools ..
Finnally , you need generally bought some glass to finished to built the monastery ..
at this time the answear from Pops was usefull because after emtpy a slot for a good i need , I HAVE often forget to replace it by accetp !!
That's all ! ^^
anyways that is not a trading game like Port Royal and others ..
