I confirm , but in my last game , with all the mines occupied ( stone inclued !) i don't have enought to make my jewwellers to work so you must to buy gems too .
No one sells them though?
I was searching for this - the responses from others are accurate but a bit garbled. If you complete the stained glass masterpiece and meet all of its decorative conditions (you've gotta deck out your manor), then you're granted a fourth trading partner which usually opens up gem purchase for you. Still a slow ride, but increases your chances of making jewelry.
