Gems and Jewellery
Hi guys .. so in my pursuit of all things money and happiness. My question is on gems. How do you make them? Do you have to mine them?

Simply buy the gems, since they are dirt cheap.

No one sells them though?

I was searching for this - the responses from others are accurate but a bit garbled. If you complete the stained glass masterpiece and meet all of its decorative conditions (you've gotta deck out your manor), then you're granted a fourth trading partner which usually opens up gem purchase for you. Still a slow ride, but increases your chances of making jewelry.

They're certainly quite rare it seems. I seem to get the most from quartz mines on my current map (valley), but may have just been chance.

You're quarries will randomly find one from time to time but its kinda rare. Best to import them. Luckily they are only 10g per. So its cheap to get them.
