Villager stuck

So I had a villager stuck and he had really low happiness so I finally figured out he was stuck inside a fishing hut. So, I tore down the shack and now he was standing in water, unable to move. No matter what I tried, he wouldn't or couldn't move. I finally quit the game because I couldn't meet his needs and it was too frustrating to deal with. Any ideas on how to un-stuck him?

Suggestion i once got was: paint a forbidden area on top of him. It will force him to walk.

I have once turned a fisherman into a monk. But he was still inside the boat. It also got him stuck in the middle fo the ocean. I fixed it by reloading my last autosave. I only lost 2min of game time.
If you took some time to figure-out your problem-serf. you might have to roll back even further... :(

Bro you saved me fr. I had 3 villagers piled on top of each other, stuck on the beach. But painting the forbidden zone worked. No need to roll back my save

Hmm, I quit because my serfs kept getting stuck in the mines. I may give the game another chance if I can fix them. Although I'm still looking for a solution to another problem before I bother.

I was able to fix this twice by making my stuck villagers unemployed and they got so mad they left the village. But that didn't work the third time, and it tanks your happiness while you're waiting for them to go away.

I had the same issue with a dozen builders stuck at the base of my bridge. I had to use the forbidden zone & move my bridge slightly to unblock them all. Thanks for the tip!
Aaaaaand now they are all stuck again! Please help! I'm pretty sure this is a bug because I had a heck of a time trying to build the bridge in the 1st place! And now my patrollers are stuck too! UGH!
