What to do ?

Recently started playing this game and it's quite relaxing and beautiful.
After a few test runs to get the hang of it i arrived somewhat at a conundrum.
With 3 land plots and some water i make so much money with trade that i don't know how best to proceed. Should i build many more treasuries to stock the gold or just buy up all the plots of land ?
I am progressing relaxed through the Prosperity. Trade is making good bank, no need to tax the people even.

What is the strategy in this game ? It looks to good to be true so i reckon i am missing something that i should focus on more.

Any advice would be welcome.

The goal of the game is to just build self sustaining cities and towns.
So there's no real right or wrong way.

Try to go for the hard aspirations if you want some more challenge, one of them doesn't allow you to gain income from trade ;)

As for the original question: a treasury that holds 10.000 and a bit gold is enough to absorb any unexpected problems. In my games I have a bigger one only if I started my "castle"/treasury too big and I want to complete it.
