All of the buildings add colour to the game but some were a must in a real medieval town, above all the bathhouse and the brothel; The Church regarded them as one and the same - sometimes they were and sometimes they were not, but they tried to eradicate public bathing in any case. Gallows were a must as well, of course.
i guess gallows and brothel are problematic for a Steam game (are they?) but bathhouses should become part of the base game.
Though again such mods would be considered on a case by case basis based on their exact content; however, I find hard to fathom such a mod for Foundation considering its graphics and community so far.
So, no need for naked villagers - though you can always use your imagination.
You increase the volume of villagers that can get drinks from my observation. I have not yet hit max capacity of the "Public Lounge" for a size 24 lounge, but with one "Service Counter" you can only serve a fraction of capacity. I have three "Service Counter" at one tavern and this increases the number of people it can serve. Plus it tends to run out of drinks less often since if one runs out the villagers seem to use the alternative one(s).
I was building huge taverns with large public lounges (one service counter) that hardly got used, I have shifted to small taverns with the three service counters as standard which seems to be effective. Less opportunity to decorate which is disappointing, but big taverns that I have observed just don't seem to need/use the public lounge capacity.
Wait until you see the tavern kitchens, you need a boatload of them and they hoover up expensive cheeses and boar like crazy. I don't think its possible to keep up meals volume with drinks volume that I can see.
As soon as I unlock the Lush Garden Masterpiece, I get rid of the kitchen.
