desirability zone
once a building is already built, is there a way to see its desirability / influence area e.g. for a market, a tavern, etc. ? the same way we see it during placement ? thank you

Are you talking about this ?

I ask because there was a green/red color around building on the ground before the last Beta patch. I think it's beautification for the green and desirability for the red.

Use the button at the right end for the line of buttons that includes building and zone painting, the telescope, I think, and that lets you see a variety of things. Green means more desirable (for example, commoners and citizens demand houses in bright green) and red means less desirable. Red shows up around buildings that people don't like to live near, such as stone quarries or charcoal burners. When I play, the desirability overlay comes on whenever I go to paint residential zones.

Hi, thank you for your answers. Yes I see these areas in the telescope menu. I think I lack the proper vocabulary haha ^^ what I meant was, when I build a market there is a green circle around it, when i am still in the building menu of the market. Same for the tax office, for the well... but once the market/well/tax office is built, i can't see this green circle anymore. I thought this circle symbolized the area of influence of the building. Inside the green circle of the tax office, all houses present are being taxed? outside the circle, no taxation. And I noticed it doesn't exist in the new iteration of the game so it doesn't work that way anymore ? I'm confused... ^^''

No, it's not like that. The circles represents the housing desirability influence of the building. Green for good, red for bad. When bringing up the Desirability heat map, the greener areas are where people would want to build homes.

Tax offices work as much of an area as possible; ignore the desirability circle. It's best to have multiple tax offices around your land. I usually build it so three tax collectors are working out of the same tax office.

I consider the new system of desirability is better than the older. The only problem I found is that the Automated font Mastepiece was very nerfed. It has almost no effect
