Parallel Desktop - OpenGL 4.3
I recently changed my computer and had to install Parallel Desktop in order to continue playing some of my games. Previously I had a Bootcamp session.

When I want to launch the games, a pop-up appears telling me that OpenGL 4.3 is required. I've updated everything I can, but nothing changes.
Have I forgotten something?
I've found advice about OpenGL in the forums, but none about OpenGL on Parallel Desktop.
Thanks for help.

According to a quick google: Parallels Desktop for Mac is software providing hardware virtualisation for Macintosh computers with Intel processors

Are you sure your Intel card can support OpenGL 4.3+? Does your Mac maybe have another graphics card that would support OpenGL 4.3+ and Parallels is not currently seeing it?

My computer has a M1 processor, and Parallels Desktop is also made to work on it. There is no other solution than Parallels anyway.

I have seen a lot of people running Foundation with Wine/Proton successfully so you could try that instead. Or revert to bootcamp as you previously did which is a much better option imo.

Though note that the game is not officially supported on any other OS apart from Windows.

The problem is that Bootcamp solutions aren't possible anymore on M1 Computers, now you have to pay Parallels 100€ a year, for something that doesn't work properly.
And I had to get Parallels because lots of programs aren't supported on any OS but Windows, and Parallels is actually the only way to get Windows on a Mac device.
Seemingly lots of people are complaining about it, because it's expensive for an incomplete solution.

For what I read, Wine/proton is for Linux computers,

hmm that is quite problematic then if Bootcamp no longer works.

From a quick google it seems like Wine does work on Mac but Proton doesn't so since that is the integration layer Valve is using I guess installing plain Wine won't help :(

Can you somehow check the drivers and OpenGL version that Parallels sees on your device and maybe try to update them manually? I unfortunately don't have a Mac device to test it on my end :/

Any luck getting this to run on Parallels? I am in the same boat (Macbook, M1 processor, bootcamp not an option any longer). I was going to buy the game (it's on sale today), and fortunately saw your post on this.

I was poking around with this today. I was using Vmware Fusion 13 Player (it is free). It only supports OpenGL 4.3 with linux distros. I got a fedora and opensuse up and running. However, I couldnt get steam loaded, it doesnt look like the arm versions support steam.
