Just to clarify, it is not 5 rooms but 5 room size, the core counts as 7 room size for example

have u built a manor part and assigned it to a tax office? remember u still need the great hall.

The tax office sub-building has 1 worker capacity per 5 room size, so if it says 0/1 then you have currently placed parts with a total room size less than 5 units.

ok so i have built a manor with great hall... then it says build a tax office and assign a tax collector

thats all it tells me to do....

The great hall built perfectly... no where does it say anything about HOW to assign a tax collector apart from building the extra wing and assigning one... it will not allow me to assign one...

whats so confusing about that?

And ofc the tutorial does not mention ANYTHING about *room size* so how do i *increase* the size of the TOWER i have allocated to be the tax wing???

You have two choices:

1. Enter the Tax Office sub-building and add more parts to increase the room capacity

2. Destroy your existing tax office and build the tower taller so it has more room size as a single part

What I do not know is how you actually built the tax office without fulfilling the worker condition it has, since that will not allow you to start construction until you have placed enough room size for 1 worker. (Condition visible under construction requirement when placing parts for the sub-building)

Is this maybe an older save file started in a previous version? Or did you maybe build in free build or another sub-building function mode and then switch it to a tax office?

easy... the tutorial simply says *place /build/whatever wording it uses-a tax office* It does NOT tell you however how many rooms it needs etc...

And as for how i was able to build one? I wasn't, i was only able to place the ghost of one and rage quit after i could not figure out why it wouldn't let me build it (thinking it was a bug) because i had the planks... the stones... the tools... enough free civs to make a tax collector... but once again... it never said *you need 5 rooms for a tax office*

also you might want to know... it let me place a great hall without a core (if the hall counts as the core then it is a bug in reality because if i already had 7 size with the great hall, it refused to acknowledge this, and it let me build and finalise the great hall

IF that is not a bug in itself... more clarification on b uilding a core is also needed

You need 7 room size in the tax office sub-building, rooms in other sub-buildings don't count towards it.

Imagine each sub-building as a completely separate entity under a big parent name i.e. the Lord's Manor in this case.

then it definitely needs better wording, i havent played in about a year and back the it explained almost everything and with the changes i took the past for granted ;)

I built some extra tax offices around my little sub-towns with just the office-looking building and a small tower that I made about 2 or 3 clicks taller. The revenues started pouring in.
