How do tavern work? it seem on one enter it

The tavern is a luxury source for Citizens and Soldiers they will only use it if it is the closest source of luxury goods to their house i.e. if you have a luxury stall selling herbs closer they will prefer that to the tavern.

Yes, I also think so. I have over 500 units of beer and nobody cares, because I didn't know, it's only for the upper class.

maybe if beer = common folk and wine= upperclass, this way the tavern would see much much more usage

Yes, I would like beer to be considered a good for Commoners; as wine is a luxury for Citizens.

Does this mean that we will have a Common room (beer) and a Private or Suite rooms (Wine)? that would be really cool. Maybe Balconies only for the Wine rooms cause they don't want to sit down near the mud of the streets.

It doesn't smell too good down there. (Of course in my game charcoal is right next door but still....)

I've the same issue here, nobody goes to the tavern. I've enough commoners, soldiers and few citizens and i tried to place beer and wine and....... everyone ignores the tavern. Seems like i've to halt the beer production for the time being as the stock is crazy high xD

Commoners do not go into the Tavern. If you have luxury market stands closer to where Citizens/Soldiers/Knights live, they will buy from there first. As soon as I moved my luxury market stands further away from houses (keeping my taverns closer to houses), I sold more beer.

Commoners do not go into the Tavern. If you have luxury market stands closer to where Citizens/Soldiers/Knights live, they will buy from there first. As soon as I moved my luxury market stands further away from houses (keeping my taverns closer to houses), I sold more beer.

I don't have a luxury market set up on my town and yet nobody goes to the tavern, i've serfs,commoners, citizens, soldiers and i tried to sell beer and than also wine and......... nobody goes there regardless of having such luxury market nearby or far or not having none at all =/

Also my tavern is very on the "core" on my town so...... i guess its broken and i will wait for the labour rework as the Dev here mentioned.

Are you sure your tavern has all the required functions? Service Counter, Public Lounge?

I can assure you there is nothing currently broken with the tavern as it works for everyone else ;)
