I guess it will be a full coverage once released...
Thanks again, however a lot of the mods on mod.io seem to be either out of date or corrupted and the game refuses to load them. I really hope there's plans for Workshop integration in the future...
Well the whole reason behind the numbered names is that the game doesn't atm allow duplicates ;)
Workshop integration is planned but the name mods that are currently uploaded on mod.io should all work as intended, I have tried a few of them but there aren't that many anyway :D. Though if there are problems with any please do post on their comment section on mod.io for the developers to fix. :)
Just checked and there are exactly 3:
- https://foundation.mod.io/historical-names-mod-angevin-edition
- https://foundation.mod.io/names-foundation
They do already partly change, e.g. berry gatherers have a berry basket on their back, or builders hold a hammer when walking around. Though more cosmetic details like that would be really nice if/when added. I am sure the devs will add something more in this direction.
Yeah, I'm giving them a try and so far- they're great.
I was talking more about some of the other mods however, especially the settings mods.
Also, I think BoNeZ was talking about villagers' profile pictures, not their avatars.
If you are a Twitch Streamer, I also saw one that will import your follower list and use them as villager names. Since follower lists are publicly visible, it doesn't need you to authenticate with Twitch. It just needs your Twitch name and how many names you want to import. For those who don't have many followers, it also includes the option to include some generic names as well. As an added bonus, the lists (one male and one female) it uses for the generic names can be edited. The one minor drawback I have seen to the mod is that it assigns to the male or female list randomly, so genders may not be accurate. If you (and your followers) can deal with that, it's pretty neat. :)
