Walls seem to have no purpose or benefit other then looking nice.
Firstly, I understand the game doesn't and will not have combat, that is not what I am talking about here.

Walls don't seem to contribute any splendour, they don't require any resources to build and are built instantly. This is disappointing and reduces the level of immersion, as compared to waiting 10 minutes for a wooden bridge to be made for example.

I'm looking to increase military splendour to 15 to unlock hunters huts and it seems the only way to do this is to build another few wooden towers. In a game such as this with a focus on building , it's just poor game design that walls don't contribute to splendour.

As with everything missing in this game, I realise it 'could' be added later, however these sorts of things (including the pointless villager levelling system) are really contributing to a very shallow game at present.

You are an idiot, you just don't understand how this game works.

I'm sorry I'm making a perfectly reasonable point base on MY experience of playing the game. If all you can do is call me an idiot I have no interest in anything you have to say.
Go away!

I have used walls to block off some routes. This "seemed" to allow some house building where there hadn't been before, and corrected some stuck people. But in the main its just cosmetic building whilst I wait for something to happen.
