Cannot place fishing hut

As title suggests, I cannot seem to place the fishing hut anywhere in or near the water, specifically the coastline. It either says invalid position or must be placed in water. I've rotated all different angles, different depths, close to or further away from fish. Can't seem to get it to work.

Could you post a screenshot of where you are trying to place it?

The hut should go with the net and door facing the water and the ground should be flat enough for it i.e. not on a mountainside facing the water.

Hmm, i think you have made the same mistake i do often like me at the beginning..
You just try to turn it inside out ..^^

Im going to reopen this thread. I am having the same issue. I have already placed 3 fishing huts. However, I want more fish to sell. Unfortunately I am unable to place anymore on my shoreline. I have taken a few screen shots. I can't show everything however, I have attempted rotating in everyway possible, both on shore and in the water. I am wondering if it's because the fish are not within the same grid. But if that is true then the game needs to make it impossible to have fish away from a grid connected to the shoreline.

I have gone all up and down this coast line. In and out of the water and rotating into every imaginable position and this is all i ever get. Either im in the water and it's invalid, or im not in the water and i need to put it in.

What do you mean my screen us to large? Thats the mid range of the screen and it's exactly where I play the entire game. Even the first 3 docks that I had 0 difficulty in placing were placed at this level. It would make no sense for my range to cause this issue

With your large screen , you can't be enough accurate to place the fishing hut. See my exemple, Otherwise see you on the official foundation discord serveur

its facing the wrong way by looks, the door or fish net face the water. try rotating it 180 deg .

You have it round the wrong way as pops says. It's kinda hilarious though that you figured this out initially and then still came back with the same problem XD smh jus' sayin' ;)

Apart from the little crane and net facing the water, if it isn't clear by that you can go by the roof of the fishing hut should slope upwards toward the water.

The dock was accurately angled for the water. Thanks vraymon, i didnt think that the elevation of my screen would matter... feels like this is something they should adjust a little personally. But, at least i got my docks in line.

Started a new map on the island map. Having the same issue again only this time regardless of camera position it refuses to allow the docks to be placed. It states it must be in water until the entire building is submerged then it states invalid positioning.
