I'm trying to get a prior for the masterpiece and i cant seem to level up any of my monks. I have a level 4 monk that hasn't moved on the exp. The bars are grayed out.

Check if maybe their workplaces are full and they habe stopped working.

If they keep working they will eventually reach level 6 and be available for promotion

I did do that and i even thought maybe its because the storage was too far. So i made them closer still frozen and grayed out.

The greyed out part is normal as that means that monks cannot be "fired" i.e. you cannot make them normal villagers again after they become monks.

What happens if you follow one of them around, what does he do during the work cycle? Does he actually go to work?

I kept a closer eye after seeing you said about it being grayed out doesnt matter the monks are leveling up. They just dont get breaks so work on bad mood. THank you awesome game! I only need one more achievement and cant wait for more updates.
