Mods enable acheivement
Is there any way to enable achievements with mods? all I have are decoration and quality of life mods, don't see why it would be a reason to disable achievements, I also understand it if it enabled achievements faster but still, like with cities skylines, shame there isn't a mod that enables the achievements after the game disables them.

There is no way to enable achievements with mods as the whole intention behind achievements is to achieve them with the vanilla settings.

We understand that if you only use decorative mods they don't really change anything but the game has no way of knowing if a mod is changing something in the balancing or not therefore it automatically disables achievements if any mod is loaded.

I am totally agree !! because i got it without mods!:steammocking:
Anyways i found a game which allowed mods for achievements.. ('Surviving mars )but to me the rules stay the same and i got it without any mods..
i think it was a kind of "respect" for the creators..and to me ..

haha, I work on my computer anyway and with the lockdown still on-going here I am on it almost all day unfortunately either for work or mod development so whenever I see new notifications on Steam I just reply so that people can get answers as quickly as possible and keep enjoying the game :)

Someone should make a mod that enables them with mods... see achieve it on cities skylines.

This is still impossible: the modding system under Foundation is different from this unde Skylines.
Anyway, It's better to masterize the vanilla game (let's say: all the steam achievments) before trying mods

What about speedrunners, who use bugs to speedrun games? How those bugs in games different from bugs that prevent people to finish achievements in a sane way? Why anyone would care for achievements being "hacked" with mods in single-player game?
Because it is NOT possible for foundation untill hacking the code. For me it's a waste of time

A waste of time or you just don't care. Why take away the fun of other people and the way they play the game? They own it so why try to dictate what people should do with their game? With or without mods the game should allow achievements.

Why do YOU want to take away the fun of other people? Some people like the challenge of trying to get achievements legitimately, which gives them the satisfaction and fun of actually beating the challenge. You want to take that fun away from them, by making achievements meaningless, as anybody can get them by simply installing a mod which makes them easy to get.

Nobody is trying to "dictate" how you play the game. If you want to try and get achievements you are free to do so. If you are not interested in achievements and just want to play the game how you want to, using mods, then you go ahead and do that, nobody is stopping you.

I don't understand the mindset of both wanting to be able to get achievements and for there to be no sense of achievement (pun intended) when you do. Because a mod made it easy.

If you are going to say "But the mods I use would not make getting achievements easier." then that has already been explained:

Exactly, so what is your issue?
Nobody is trying to stop you from playing the game however you want, it is a single player game if you want to play with mods enabled, nobody is trying to stop you.
But achievements are not a single player mechanic, they are an online thing. Some people like to show off that they earned an achievement legitimately. personally I don't have any interest in them myself. But that does not mean I want to make achievements meaningless, and I don't think you should be allowed to either. Just because you want to be able brag that you have earned an achievement when you didn't really earn it.

If you are so desperate to earn achievements for some reason, then go ahead and earn them. Nobody is stopping you. But if you want to be able brag online to other players then you will have earn the achievement legitimately, the same as everyone else did, I am afraid.
You don't get to dictate the rules about how online achievements work.
