We understand that if you only use decorative mods they don't really change anything but the game has no way of knowing if a mod is changing something in the balancing or not therefore it automatically disables achievements if any mod is loaded.
Anyways i found a game which allowed mods for achievements.. ('Surviving mars )but to me the rules stay the same and i got it without any mods..
i think it was a kind of "respect" for the creators..and to me ..
Just checked all the achievements and yeah I guess they are easy to complete. But Minotorious you really need to do something rather than browse the discussion tab all day my dude ahah
Hey man, that's very commendable, must be draining af being home all the time
Basically that yeah.
Anyway, It's better to masterize the vanilla game (let's say: all the steam achievments) before trying mods
Nobody is trying to "dictate" how you play the game. If you want to try and get achievements you are free to do so. If you are not interested in achievements and just want to play the game how you want to, using mods, then you go ahead and do that, nobody is stopping you.
I don't understand the mindset of both wanting to be able to get achievements and for there to be no sense of achievement (pun intended) when you do. Because a mod made it easy.
If you are going to say "But the mods I use would not make getting achievements easier." then that has already been explained:
Nobody is trying to stop you from playing the game however you want, it is a single player game if you want to play with mods enabled, nobody is trying to stop you.
But achievements are not a single player mechanic, they are an online thing. Some people like to show off that they earned an achievement legitimately. personally I don't have any interest in them myself. But that does not mean I want to make achievements meaningless, and I don't think you should be allowed to either. Just because you want to be able brag that you have earned an achievement when you didn't really earn it.
If you are so desperate to earn achievements for some reason, then go ahead and earn them. Nobody is stopping you. But if you want to be able brag online to other players then you will have earn the achievement legitimately, the same as everyone else did, I am afraid.
You don't get to dictate the rules about how online achievements work.
