Note all maps have all minerals so keep prospecting and you will get everything
Gems drop randomly from the quarries with an approximate 1% chance so they are not a steady supply for sure.
The 4th trader can be unlocked by building the majestic stained glass masterpiece
And why doesnt it work to build a bridge?
Is there no other way to get to this higher elevation?
EDIT: That still doesn't work I dunno what I'm missing
I think iron and marble are critical for tools and monuments, quartz is nice, gold is kind of weak. After four consecutive game of turning up stone on the first, second or third mandate and having only three or four minerall surveys remaining - I just got bored of putting that much effort into building my village, only to keep turning up stone.
I can see the point of having failed surveys but with only a few mineral searches available turning up stone is a losing effort. Finally, after getting two stone discoveries in succession within the same game, I lost interest in more restarts and going through the process of starting from scratch.
Curious about one thing that may change my mind - are the mineral deposits set at the commencement of the game, or does the bailiff's finding have something to do with experience? Specifically, will the bailiff find the same mineral deposit whether it be the first, second, third or fourth mandate? If it's a matter of waiting for the bailiff to gain levels to obtain better results, I can handle that but if the minerals are predetermined at the outset - I've restarted so often that I now play at X1, go off and do something else and then come back to see if something's happened.
