Housing and distance to jobs

I've been reading that it is important in this game that people live near their jobs, or else they will waste a lot of their work time just walking. My question is how do I check how far each person lives from their job, and how do I fix things if I find someone travelling too far? (And also, how far is "too far"?). Many thanks.

How do you evict evict everyone/anyone/someone?

I found my own answer (version 1.10). And here is a bit of a tutorial.

When you click on a house and hover on an Occupant, they have a red X that says "Dismiss from Workplace". This X is mislabeled and will NOT fire them from their job, it will instead evict them from the house.

If you want to evict everyone, evict the first person. You can then quickly and easily evict everyone because the next person's X will fall into the same spot you just clicked.

Caution, a lot of things look like houses and it's easy to start firing people if you aren't careful, because this same button exists on a workplace and WILL FIRE them from their job.

If you want to evict everyone, one way to help ensure you ONLY evict people is to open the villagers tab in the royal book, then click on anyone who has a house. Move the book to the right, so you can see the house button but can also click the house on the screen. Click the house button in the book, then click the house on the map, evict people from the house, then click the next house from the list in the book which is occupied until none are occupied.
