just make sure you own the land that the prospecting formations are on for your bailif to explore them. front what i have seen so far the marble and iron tends to be in the low lying rock formations.
the rock formations are pretty easily identifiable they almost look out of place. once your bailif has prospected them you will see iron or marble sticking out the side of them, click on the iron or marble and you can build a quarry or mine on the resources.
Am I missing something ?
yeah you might not own the territories that the mineral deposits are in. the mineral deposits are the large almost out of place looking rock things. if you buy the territories that they are on your bailif will be able to prospect them.
You have to own a plot of land with one of those rock formations on it.
I just want to add that once you purchases the region he will want to close and reopen the bailiff UI menu. I purchased the territories but failed to do so and they didn't appear. I reopen the UI for the bailiff and they showed up.
This incorrect. You do not need to OWN the land. You need to buy a plot within 3 hexes of the outcropping to be able to prospect it. Then if the out crop is what you are looking for, you can then buy the plots to it to be able to use it.
