Am I missing something about doorways?

I reported this as a bug already but wanted to see if there was just something I don't get about the building in this game. Villagers avoid using doors. If I put a door anywhere they will go around a building and straight through a wall or extension instead. Enlighten me.

Depends which door you are referring to, the keep menu standalone door one is not functioning yet and as such the villagers cannot cross it. The other door (wooden door) under decorations (i think) works fine and the villagers use it.

It's the church and manor house doors I'm talking about.

Oh the church core is faulty atm and the villagers use the window to enter it. So are some parts of the manor depending where exactly you place the door

With the Church, I would build a door. Then when they start using the wall to go in and out, move the door to there.

Not perfect I know but it calms my ocd down.
