How do you deliver goods and trade?

There is a guide on steam but the YouTube video by Tolakram "Getting started tutorial" is probably the best place for us noobs to get the hang of the basics. Lord knows the game sure as hell does not teach you anything.

It's a bit buggy, sometimes the trader need to pass rivers, (it doesn't notify you) so you should build some bridges. I'm not sure if this is the problem, but I had the same problem and I picked a new map and it worked.
