And yes, they trade.
OK but I have granaries set up to receive wine, they take it when the soldiers bring it back, but none of it comes from traders. I know it's the right trader, since they're dropping off other materials at the warehouses, but no wine.
I had this problem, too. Nicolas fixed the issue in my save game.
What map are you playing on? Perhaps there is a need for a bridge to give access to the trader from the city the buys wine and/or leather? I've not had the problem you're having. Wine sells just fine, as does leather. I play on the fluvial map with several bridge erected to ensure access to my town from all four sides.
I am on the coastal map. I see 3 "roads" heading into town. I can't see any large gaps where I am supposed to buy my way to setup the bridge for the trade route, but if someone on that map knows of one, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.
Well, there are no rivers on the coastal map, so bridges aren't the issue. Not sure why you're having that trouble.
OK, awesome, thanks! I will certainly be keeping the fact I need to build bridges on certain maps in mind. I wouldn't have thought of it on my own, unless there is an in game hint about it when it's required.
