How in GODS effing name is this ♥♥♥♥ still going on?

Servers monumentally slow, constantly getting kicked from uploads from events, this is effing weeks now and you STILL have these issues?

It has been OK all week, it's 10 o clock in the evening and it takes 2 minutes to load up the times from each session, 2 minutes to load the stage, then it cant load back to main menu so it gives an error code, and an option to return to menu.

For goodness sake sort it out you useless ****tards. It's not hard, it is called looking after your damn customers

Found something interesting today regarding this constant issue.

Playing a stage in dark in heavy rain and could not be arsed to finish it it was so miserable to drive, so quit the stage and retired.

Had done a couple of daily events by then, yet this sent Racenet into a tizzy.

Could not upload result, error code. Then basically crashed "communicating with server for about 2 minutes doing nothing

So I just C Alt del and quit the garbage.

I usually dont retire and have had lots of connection issues lately with racenet. That you retired and racenet decided to not work afterwards was a coincidence.

I don't like to be critical if I can avoid it, these are just games after all, but holy jesus christ almighty do they have the worst servers I've ever encountered. For a game that simply requires a login/authentication and what amounts to the communication of a text file for times, it's just largely unacceptable how poor Racenet is. Also, nothing worse than feeling like a 2nd rate customer just because PSN gets the game for free and Codemasters obviously refuses to accomodate this with extra servers, even temporarily.

Definitely my last Codemasters game. Between the scumbag DLC model, complete with hiding the Year One pass off of the main page, and the absolute trash server connections, they have proven they don't need anymore cash from me.

Fantastic game, but everything surrounding it is a joke.

That's a steam issue. The "new" format for DLC content introduced late last year auto-sorts all the DLC on the content page. Steam is also trying to push the season 3&4 pass it still has a licence to sell, separate from the Year One pass.

I have mentioned this earlier in the thread but the OP did not bother to answer, if his Steam connection was OK or not, when he had issues.

Some might say this is unrelated, but I say this to those who just think resolving peak network traffic issues is easy. Microsoft has had global issues with Skype, and are having to reduce call quality to try and keep this running for everyone (this has not resolved issues for all). We are in the midst of a global COVID19 pandemic, thousands are dying everyday. Most people are stuck at home, with the internet being a big part of how we are all trying to cope with lock down issues. IT related issues, are not only being encountered by CM.

If the moaners on here think they have a solution, they should apply in writing to Codemasters for a Job, as I am sure that they would love to resolve this issue and get people of their backs. It's always easy to look over someones shoulder and criticise how something has been done. I bit like I am finding it easy to criticise how some people are moaning about this issue.

It could of course be Steam, and I have intermittent connection issues with Destiney 2 the other game I play a lot on here, but not as abd as the Racenet stuff. an dusually just a very quick issue easily resolved.
