Don't Cut

So Codemasters, your slogan for Dirt Rally 1 & 2.0 is "Don't Cut", watch this clip from SS "Waimarama Point" in New Zealand. Specially from 7:25 into this video and onwards :-/ For me personally this is just a to much of a "cut". ( I have also seen many other videos from youtube from the New England US SS and the amount of "cuts" in there is...not fair I think )

There are shortcuts everywhere that needs to be closed! Not only that stage, and not only
New Zealand. Read my previous posts, or just check out my channel and you will see plenty
of them. ;)

Yeah shortcut is plain and simple exploit. If the WR make a clean race there will always be somebody to try and find huge cuts to exploit and gain the WR in turn making a never ending scenario. Im not against cuts. Im all up for cuts. But shortcuts should be penalize with extra time with no reset. Reset should be abolish and leave only extra time.

Best way i see it. If you go out of the road(all 4 wheels) you start gaining time for every second you left the road. Further in offroad a extra time is added. Like that you can cut, but you need to minimise the distance from the point where its call offroading.

Because even tho we show them(codies) shortcuts to block, somebody will find a new one. It just nothing short of useless to run after shortcuts to block pathway.

Like i said blocking will never stop shortcuts to happen.
We need a huge incentive to not shortcuts and gaining time would be the best.

This bring me to a similar situation. Insurgency sandstorm(fps) had one famous player who would spawn kill a entire squadron and feeding the exploit to youtube to prove a point to devs and what happens next was him getting ban.

Meaning, publicise exploit will get you no where. You should prove instead like i do that you can be WR without shortcuts. Being first now a day doesnt mean ♥♥♥♥ anyway. I mostly try to get at least in top 100 with a clean race. I feel less like a sellout. Rally driver have tons of opportunity to shortcuts, but they dont do it. Why? Because that would be like walking
while holding the basketball its Unsportsmanlike conduct.

I seriously doubt CM will do anything about cuts or wallriding. Also they would have to completely wipe the leaderboards... Do you really see them doing that? I sadly don't.

That's what they do in most of the game. If they were'nt, you could just go in a straight line. :p

I don't care much about your self righteous bull. Are you listening to yourself? How are you
not barfing in your own mouth? If you cared to read what I wrote earlier, I don't compete with
you, I compete with the top drivers on the leaderboards, who I know are taking shortcuts if
there are any. How do you know you are number 100? Maybe you are number 1, because
how do you know that the 98 others, besides me, are not taking shortcuts???

I don't post videos to prove a point about shortcuts/exploits.

As for IRL rally drivers, they will take any shortcut they can find. That't why you often see
big balls of hay in not so natural places, to block shortcuts. :p

As for world records, I have more than 100 in DR1, where there are no shortcuts, so
already done that. It's there, in my YouTube channel for everyone to see if they bother.

It's a game. It's about going as fast as possible from A to B. Stop harassing other players
for DR2 having stupid shortcuts! Send your complaints to Codemasters, as I did long before
this thread even started.

I already said I'll take the challenge with any of the runs I have already done, just upload
you damn video with proof that you don't use shortcut, and I'll do the same. o_O
