Co-driver / pace notes
A lot of justified complaints about this. The devs crapped the bed somewhat on this point. It's not the voice-actor's fault, he's fine.

Apart from some crucial calls coming late when the timing is otherwise just right (he'll spring a "unseen two right don't cut" on high speed sections when you're already on top of the turn, completely out of cadence from the rest of the calls) -- apart from unrefined directions and bad timing, some calls are completely missing.

There's a section in Germany on a long straightaway -- the co-driver says "crest" and that's it. The trouble is, immediately at the summit of the blind crest is a square left turn. Without memorizing the track ahead of time, this is an instant fail. And it's late into the stage, when you're really into the zen thing.

There are other instances all over the place. You can see they even tried to "patch" it in sections here and there, where the co-driver's voice is mixed way out-of-whack from the usual sound levels and equalization.

Sloppy, sloppy work. This aspect is one of several steps backward from previous titles. If I catch wind of this same problem in future DiRT game's I'm going to pass.

What you wrote about the route-notes delivery reminds me uncanningly more so of my experience in Dirt4 (let's just say that was not the only point of concern about that game and move on) than in Dirt Rally or Dirt Rally 2.0.

Then again: maybe you are just that fast that it cannot keep up. I take it you have set your notes-delivery preference to "very early", have you? Failing to do so may indeed make the system confused where it alternates between two or more different "notes-tracks" recorded for each stage and that way tries to emulate a more human-like co-pilot that is somewhat aware of your pace in each section and thereby your proximity to danger.

My personal pet peeve is that last "right-4" corner before the mountain-side finish in Greece which I would strongly describe as a "right-4 tightens" if not a straight "right-3 - caution!" myself. Been there since DR1.
Pretend its a feature not an oversight. Just like in real-life, calls are never going to be 100% accurate :)
